Compatibility.
Magnesium minerals sit alongside most South-East Queensland pool equipment. Check these before the first dose.
Mineral chlorinators
Designed for magnesium and potassium blends. Set the cell to the manufacturer's mineral setting.
Standard salt chlorinators
Most run on a blended mineral bed. Confirm the minimum conductivity your cell needs before you change the mix.
Concrete and fully tiled
Suitable. Keep pH and alkalinity in the range your builder specifies.
Fibreglass and vinyl
Suitable. Do not tip flake directly onto a vinyl liner; spread it across the deep end.
Heat pumps and gas heaters
Suitable at normal mineral levels. Check the maximum total dissolved solids figure in your heater manual.
Stainless fittings and handrails
Rinse fittings after dosing and keep water balanced, as you would with any mineral or salt system.
Automatic covers
Run the pump with the cover open for the first eight hours after dosing.
